Can't get on server?

I have been trying to access the server for about a week or two now, and I read about the server being down earlier, so I thought maybe that was why I couldn't get on. However when I looked on the website today, I found that the server was no longer down and decided to try again. Yet I can't, apparently due to no connection? Other servers I used previously seem to work still. Help much appreciated, thank you.

We are still on 1.6.4. You have to change versions on the launch

On the newest version of the launcher, you click "edit profile" then choose 1.6.4. on the drop down bar from "Use Version:". That's solved most people's connection issues lately
