Gothic Church Contest
Hello! As some of you know, me and a few others are working on a medieval city in the kingdom world.(If you want to see it, just ask me for a tp)
Anyways, I have decided to host a building contest for a gothic style church. If I find one of the entries to be sufficient, I will put it in my city.
Now here are the rules:
-The church can have maximum dimensions of 35x70(minimum dimensions are (30x60)
-it must be mostly composed of stone-based items(e.g. netherbrick, stone, stonebrick, slab, etc)
-must have glass windows in some areas.(stained glass IS allowed)
-Must be gothic themed(look at the cathedral at spawn for a general idea)
-Must have a belltower of some sort, somewhere.
-Must have depth
-Must have detail
-the rest is up to you
If I find that I like one of the designs enough to use it for my city, I will award the person who designed it with one of two things:
-20000 uncs OR 25 diamond blocks
If I find that I don't want to use any of the entries, then I will award the best entry a consolation prize of 5000 uncs.
I will have this contest run until April 11th, 2014.
All entries must be submitted here as downloadable single player maps. No pictures, or anything of the like please.
damonc's and sleepystrangekid's were both very nice imo. Though most churches do have roofs.. :D

No, but it has to look structurally sound from the inside.

Okay I’m so pumped about submitting this. I’ve spent so much time on it it’s crazy. I tried keeping it looking dark and a bit gloomy which I hope you’re fine with. I couldn’t get the shape of the bell right, so that might need some fixing. I also don’t really know what type of environment it might be added to so I left the inside and some other parts open to different decorations. The far end of the church would mainly be a mural, but I don’t know of what it would be. It’s more of a shell, really. Hope you enjoy!
Also, as many holes and openings there are, it’s rainproof.

Well here is my design. Did some insides just to get an idea going of what I had in mind. Feel free to change it to how you need/want it.
The netherbrick does not fit pines city at all haha
He is free to change it, he could do cobble or stone brick in place of the nether brick, would still work.
I've made a start on something, I daren't look at the others that have been submitted yet in case I lose the will to complete it XD but, it should hopefully be done soonish, I think. Maybe.
