not letting me log in

since 1:pm pacific time i havnt been able to log into the server it has said that only 1 user is on and when i try to log in says user name not recognized i have no idea whats going on can someone please help

Slash several of us were getting the timeout error. Not we get the "Failed to verify username!" error. Can I assume that is your case?

Same thing happening.

"Server Disconnected! Failed to Verify Username!"

Don't want to throw this in 'emergency' as not being able to play minecraft is hardly an emergency, but ya know, would appreciate attention when someone has a moment :D

UPDATE: just talked in IRC about it, was advised that repeatedly trying to log in sometimes gives success. Still an issue that needs looked into though when someone has a moment.

yes this is the error happening to me and so iv just been playing xbox minecraft (not as fun)

Further update: It's a minecraft issue with the authentication and session servers, looks like we're SoL for awhile:

Anyone else having trouble connecting to a server?
