Hmmm, I always thought of Skyrim as another "mainstream-kill-20-of-those-rats-to-gain-their-bladders-and-give-them-to-me-to-receive-the-Spoon-of-Dragonslayerness-of-awesome". Is it worth it?

I watched a streamer play it. I thought it wasn't. It was just another Skyrim to me with more quests. That was just the early stages so I don't know about the late stages of the game. It's $15 a month too.
