Professional Minecraft hackers sold dangerous client
Hello all!
As you might have known, Uncovery once posted a blogpost that there was a group of dangerous hackers (I am not mentioning ANY names because they will then find this page -> the server!). These hackers know how to pass various security plugins on Minecraft SMP. Apparently, the hacked client is being bid on for 900 dollars.. This means that it MIGHT be bought by a group/community of griefers, wich will abuse it even more.

As I said, they MIGHT have bought it with a group of people, they MIGHT abuse it, and so on. Nothing is confirmed, except that it is sold.
Please do not mention any names of the people named on the picture, it will increase the chance of having them come over to this server.
EDIT: The username of the person responding of the comments actually made the video. Check it out if you want to (that is their actual group name, you can check some video's of them to see their ingame powers).

Uncovery, would you be willing to possibly dis allow guests and peasants until 1.5? This just looks absolutely horrifying.

I hate to say it, but hackers will find a way to break stuff at the expense of others.

I won't change anything. I don't even know what this client does. There are 3'000 servers out there and we are doing backups every 6 hours.
These guys target a very specific group of servers from a specific list. I do not see this server as a target and even if they hack it, I just restore from backup.
Panic is just what they want, and they think that they really cause trouble. But they don't. They just make me use a backup. Who cares.

Well, as Uncovery said, we got backups. Nothing to worry about I suppose! :)
BTW @Uncovery: If you search up the name (as seen in the picture), you will defenitely find a list of usernames easily. If you get those banned even before they even get here (if they ever will), then they can't login anyways :)
That wont stop them.
They have been hitting reddit servers hard because they wont say -There Name- deserves ice cream. If they come onto this server they can hack into the protected lots. There is a global ban on them all and there extra accounts but that has never stopped them, if were on mcBans they might come after us, but this is highly unlikely as there are many many many other servers on mcBans.

Don't think so. Even if he did ban all their accouns from SMP, they would still get new accounts from their fans (in some videos they say "It took me two accounts, but I finnaly finished griefing this."). Though IP banning might do the trick :P
By the way everybody, if you read my (first) post, you would know that the client was sold. Because of this, well, bad things could happen (if you know what I mean). The person (or people) that bought it can abuse it even worse. They can easily target any server of their likings, and even be MORE unreasonable.

Without being too specific, how much worse can they do compared to what we saw in that video?
