Just a short update:

I am having 2 massive other projects on hand that I could not postpone that are taking my attention away from upgrading the minecraft server.

The good news is that one of them is slowly using less of my attention and the other one is over towards the end of this month. But then I have 2 weeks of travel and two big events coming up in November that I need to do a lot of work for.

Actually, I have come very far with the server upgrade. I am now at a stage where I can keep up with the latest minecraft drops with only something like 1hr of work.

The only thing that I did not have time for so far is intensive testing of all the upgrades since the previous version we were live with. Without that I could theoretically go live any moment, I just have a certain high level of anxiety about something going wrong.

What I will be doing is the following: I will put up a “test version” of the server parallel to the current temp server. You guys can fool around on it with the awareness that I might reset it again to the “when we were last live with it” if it turns out something really bad happened. If everything goes well, we then consolidate everything and be done with it. I hope I can get this done within this year. I need to find 2-3 days where I can concentrate on this.
