Cannot log on after whitelisted

I passed the test and was whitelisted, but when I try to log on as a guest it failed and said to come to the website to get whitelisted again. Did I not follow the steps correctly?

is your account name the same as your ign?

If you did not use the same username for the website as for your minecraft account, delete the website account with the link on the email that you got with your password and do the website registration process again.

I am having a problem with minecraft's site though. Even though the launcher works and I can play, I can't login to minecraft.net and I don't know why. I've sent them a message, but they haven't replied yet. I might try deleting my account here and re-registering anyway as you suggested. If that doesn't work I'll try harder to resolve the problem with minecraft.net.

Wow, I'm an idiot. I misspelled my own username when I entered it in originally. Sorry to bother you without checking that first. Everything works now.
