If you know Reddit, you know how karma works. If not, here is a short overview:
If someone likes you or what you do, they can give you Karma points. Each user can give each other user either 1, 0 or -1 Karma points. Once you give a Karma point to a user, they keep it – until you give the user a different amount of karma. The karma that you give today replaces the karma you gave yesterday. The idea is karma gives you a way to express your feelings about what a user does, builds and says. You can change your opinion anytime between good, neutral and bad. There is no way of knowing who gave you good or bad karma however.
