City Subway
I created a city subway to reach all the different places w/o having to teleport. The subway and the stations are so far not very nice to look at, but they work fine. If any of the elders or masters want to start working improving on the stations, please do not hesitate!
City copied over!
I have just managed to copy all 22 tall buildings of the old world over to the new city. This means that we are one huge step closer to have the complete city moved.
Please all come over to the skyscrapers and take a look at the amazing builds!
I would like to ask all masters and elders to help me now and terraform and landscape the skyscrapers area. We need paths to all building entrances, a nice frame around the lake (which could be a bit deeper, too), a bridge and path from the noble houses over and a good connection to the harbor pier.
New navigation for 2D maps, World pages consolidated
I made it easier to switch between 2D maps by adding a menu bar on the top.
Further I consolidated all world descriptions into one page to reduce the amount of clicks and searches one has to do. I hope that this will make the website easier to use. Watch out for further improvements! Suggestions are always welcome.
Shop Data page fixed!
I fixed the shop data interface so you can now again see the shop stocks and transaction on the website. Please take a look here!
Redstone Lessons: Monostable circuit
I just added a “Monostable Circuit” to the Redstone Ministry. It shows how you can convert a steady signal into a button-like pulse, and time the pulse length, too. You can find it on the top floor of the redstone ministry.
End Dragon fight released!
You can now fight the Ender dragon! Enter the End through the End portal in Spawn and get killed by the hordes of ender men and the ender dragon or gain your 100 levels of experience! See more information here!

SkyScraper area relocated
I relocated the area where the skyscrapers are located to a place north of the noble houses. We should have more space there for them and also a nice area for a marina and harbor to put the boats there.
Masters are allowed to build in the city again!
I just added the masters again to be able to build in the city!
2 bugs found – and fixed – and a user banned!
I found 2 related bugs, both which are about guest permissions. First of all, guests were allowed to build in other people’s lot if they were made a member of that lot. This is changed now, and people who have friends on the server still have to first pass the settler test before they can build – anywhere.
On top of that we had a very smart guy with the username of “systemAdmin” show up here and immediately asked for someone to “op” him. While I consider such a username a poor, childish prank and a rather humorous attempt at causing problems, I let him stay online to see how this would develop. And of course, as expected, the user gave me a real reason to ban him just a couple of minutes later when he abused the possibility to pick up a couple of dozen eggs in the city and create a large number of chicken running around, which made me ban him.
This event also caused me to investigate our permission system and now it is changed so that the only item you are allowed to have in your inventory, drop, pickup or use is a wooden sword. The advantage behind that is you are also not able to die from mob damage or fall damage anymore. It should be safer to get to your lot. The only damage that you can take is lava & fire damage to prevent this protection to make people explore the nether too much. So I also restricted the starter kit to a sword and took the other wooden tools away. Sadly, but true, if you do not lock up EVERYTHING a guest can do, there will be the one or other who abuses it.
Cathedral & eiffel tower park moved to spawn island!
I have after some trials and relocation of the stadium as well as my office managed to place the cathedral & the eiffel tower in one piece to the spawn island. Thanks to the elders who helped terraforming the land around it. Please continue with this since some parts still look decidedly artificial…
Kingdom files fixed! (Or is it?)
The issue we had yesterday in the kingdom was actually not fixed with the reset. I had the same issue again and had to download the complete world, fix it with mcedit (delete the chunks that were faulty) and re-uploaded the chunks. The result is a couple of not-so-nice breaks between the old and new map generator.
The affected areas were south-east of Rome along the break of the new & old map generation. Please go to your areas and check if everything is ok! I will make sure later that there are no other issues on the rest of the map.
Arena copied & Japan created!
I have copied over all Japanese/Chinese buildings that we had on the city into a new area that can be reached like the other areas through the city area portal house. Thanks to lvasold and plutomaster to help fitting them into the landscape!
I also copied the arena over so we can do spleef games again. The spleef plugin still has to be installed and tested though. Thanks also to lvasold for helping with the landscaping! The arena is just south of spawn, so no need to take a portal.
Tree House contest copied to city, let the voting begin!
I have copied the (so far) 4 entries to the tree house contest to the city and tried to integrate it as well as possible into a “natural” environment.
If you go to spawn and from there to the city-area portals you can see the “treehouse” portals. From the other side of the portal, 4 paths branch out to the individual tree houses.
If you have not submitted your tree house, please do so ASAP!
Elders, please go and take a look and rate the tree houses!

16 Noble houses copied to City world – 3D Dynmap up & markers added
I have now copied 16 houses from the “noble house” contest over to the city world, with the help of lvasold in landscaping and making of walkways. The houses fit perfectly on a small peninsula just off the spawn island. I will make a portal there soon.
Also, the 3D Dynamic map is back online, now with markers to indicate important locations on the city map – more of them will follow. I will try to also indicate occupied lots with markers on the map, I have to check out first if that is possible at all.
I also updated the worldedit plugin to the latest version. That should not change anything for anybody as of now, but watch for more plugins to be enabled for 1.0 over the coming days.
Kingdom Bug – map reset
We just lost 6 hours of whatever was done in the kingdom since the last restart of the server. There was a severe error that I cannot possibly fix in the map. I assume some corruption going on. The server complained about a chunk being in an unexpected place. Don’t ask me how this can happen.
Anyhow, I reloaded the backup from 6 hours ago, I hope not too much broke because of this. Please report immediately if you see some strange stuff on the map.
City regions – Egypt copied over
Since different places in the new city world will host different buildings in order to avoid too much compression, appropriate environments as well as less lag, I changed the original first, smaller portal building into a “city region” portal building with portals to the sky scrapers, the desert and the tree houses. Check out the portals and visit those places!
Egypt is already completely copied over. If you have additional ideas how to enlarge this area or if you want to build additional things for it, please go ahead!

I just banned this user for being abusive, annoying and excessively cursing, despite having received a strong warning from my side and several elders on different occasions in the meantime. He also took the term “help vampire” to another dimension.
